The Bank of America Merrill Lynch hosted Interinvest, the network of LGBT+ Investment managers for an event celebrating the forthcoming £50 note featuring Alan Turing, the first LGBTQ+ person (other than a Royal) to be featured on a British Bank Note. Queer Britain's CEO spoke about Turing’s legacy and what it would have meant if it his contribution had been celebrated earlier. Other speakers included Sarah John, Chief Cashier of the Bank of England and Josh Little, a lawyer who had worked on the Turing Law, which helped grant pardons to gay men convicted of gross indecency.
