Queer Britain hosted Chris Bryant MP in conversation with QB advisor, The Baroness Barker, Vice-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Global Rights, about Chris's fascinating new book, The Glamour Boys, The Secret Story of the Rebels who Fought for Britain to Defeat Hitler. Bryant shines new light on a hitherto untold story of how a group of gay MPs worked to defeat the Nazis at great personal expense and under attack by the then Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain, who tapped their phones, threatened them and disparagingly labeled them 'The Glamour Boys'. With contributions from Oliver Dowden MP, the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport and Crispin Blunt MP, chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Global LGBT+ Rights. The event was in partnership with the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Global LGBT+ Rights and History of Parliament Trust. Introduced by Joseph Galliano.
