EXHIBITION WINS AWARD

ANNOUNCEMENT

We are thrilled that our inaugural exhibition, We Are Queer Britain! has won the Best Small Museum Project at the Museums Association’s Museums Change Lives Awards 2022.

On Thursday, 3 November, Queer Britain’s Director, Joseph Galliano-Doig, Head of Learning and Engagement, Dan Vo, and QB Trustee, Robert Taylor, accepted the award at a ceremony in Edinburgh. The award recognises the best projects with social impact. Congratulations to the whole team, especially curator Dawn Hoskin, Project Manager Emma Shepley and Assistant Curator, Matthew Storey.

We also wanted to thank our supporters, donors and exhibition sponsors, Aviva, Meta, EY and Herbert Smith Freehills for supporting us on this journey. Joseph Galliano-Doig said, “Queer Britain was set up to help LGBTQ+ people to be seen, and this award makes US feel seen.”
