THE RADCLYFFE HALL AND
UNA TROUBRIDGE CIRCLE

ANNOUNCEMENT

Queer Britain was joined by the writer and historian Diana Souhami at a special reception for a new acquisition which celebrates the life and legacy of Radclyffe Hall.

At the reception, a campaign was launched to raise £25,000 in donations by the end of 2023. The campaign is named to honour the author of the iconic lesbian novel, The Well Of Loneliness, and her partner of 29 years, Lady Una Troubridge. Members of this circle will be championing efforts to increase lesbian, trans and non-binary visibility. They will be protecting the country’s first LGBTQ+ Museum and ensuring that we have a permanent home for our stories.

At the reception, Souhami unveiled a statue of Hall by Troubridge. Donated by Troubridge’s godson, Allesandro Rossi Lemeni, members of the Circle can have their names proudly displayed with this piece of lesbian history.
