SHOWCASE

WITH THANKS TO OUR AMPLIFY CROWDFUND SUPPORTERS

To mark the end of our first community residency, we held an exhibition in one of our gallery spaces to celebrate. The showcase, We are LGBTQ+ Travellers, featured work created by the residency participants alongside pieces curated by the group to celebrate their history and heritage. These included a dress from drag icon, Cherry Valentine, and photographic works by Béla Váradi. The display reflected on what being LGBTQ+ and Traveller+ means, and what can be done to include and empower their communities in Britain and beyond. The residency was held in partnership with Traveller Pride and doctoral researcher, Shaan Knaan. It was made possible by those who donated to our Amplify crowdfund with additional support from the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
