WITH THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK PART / INSTAX / FUJI FILM HOUSE OF PHOTOGRAPHY

We joined forces with Fujifilm and set up an instax™ photo booth in Trafalgar Square at Pride London, to photograph attendees as an analogue record of the day. In a world where LGBTQ+ voices and content are increasingly hidden, moderated, and removed by online algorithms, a physical print is an act of permanence. It can't be deleted, suppressed, or scrolled past. There was a constant queue to take part, with one image being kept by us and a second given away to participants as a souvenir. In 2027, in Covent Garden, the prints collected by us will appear in a dedicated exhibition, Print It. They Can't Delete It, celebrating queer joy and identity. The images will then enter into Queer Britain's permanent collection. Every print taken that day was a small act of joy, and a small act of history. They don’t just capture a moment in time; they will become part of a growing archive that ensures LGBTQ+ stories can be seen, shared and remembered for generations to come. For more information on the 2027 exhibition, click on the button at the foot of this page.
